Meet the Artist

Daryld Pepprock grew up in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley, where he began sketching, painting, and sculpting the region’s wildlife and landscapes while working on one of the valley’s largest cattle ranches near Stevensville.

Pepprock’s colorful paintings capture the spirit of the West with a modern narrative touch. Each piece draws viewers in with layers of detail, some subtle, others bold, that give his work a distinct sense of identity and story.

Working primarily in oil, watercolor, and coffee pigment, Pepprock often incorporates Montana history into his art by painting on antique ephemera, some more than a century old. When not in the studio, he can be found exploring the mountains and wildlife of western Montana or searching for historical memorabilia to add to his extensive western collection.
